Japan–Thailand Cultural Exchange Activity

Learning Through Traditional Folk Music (Online)

Ban Klong Manaw School, under the Sa Kaeo Primary Educational Service Area Office 2, organized an online Japan–Thailand cultural exchange activity on Tuesday, 10 February 2026.

During the activity, students and teachers participated in an online cultural learning session via Zoom, featuring a traditional Japanese folk music performance titled “Takaido Bayashi”, presented by Fujimigaoka Elementary School, Japan, the host school of the event.


Expanding Global Learning Experiences

This cultural exchange program was supported by the
Tokyo International Exchange Concierge Office,
under the supervision of the Tokyo Metropolitan Board of Education.

The event was successfully coordinated with the cooperation of:

  • Mr. Mamoru Kamibayashi, Tokyo International Exchange Concierge Office

  • Ms. Aya Kawaji, Teacher, Fujimigaoka Elementary School

Through the live performance and cultural explanation, students gained valuable insights into Japanese traditional music, lifestyle, and cultural heritage. The activity encouraged curiosity, cultural awareness, and meaningful international interaction.


Developing 21st Century Learners

This international learning experience contributed significantly to the development of 21st century skills, including critical thinking, communication, and cross-cultural understanding. It also promoted respect for cultural diversity and strengthened students’ global perspectives.
