Director of Ban Khlong Manao School Awarded Indian Government Scholarship for International Educational Leadership Development


SA KAEO – Mr. Wichai Nontakan, Director of Ban Khlong Manao School under the Sa Kaeo Primary Educational Service Area Office 2, Office of the Basic Education Commission (OBEC), has been selected to participate in an international training program under the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC Programme), funded by the Government of the Republic of India.

Mr. Nontakan will attend the "International Programme on Institutional Planning for Heads of Educational Institutes (IPHEI)" from March 30 to April 10, 2026, at the National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration (NIEPA) in New Delhi, India. This prestigious program aims to empower school administrators from various countries, focusing on strategic planning, educational management, and the exchange of academic experiences at an international level.

Mr. Wichai Nontakan is recognized as a distinguished educational administrator with outstanding achievements in administrative innovation and Active Learning development. He has received numerous national accolades and was previously selected as a Thai teacher representative for the UNESCO Teacher Exchange Programme in Japan, reflecting his extensive experience in international educational activities.

Upon completion of the program, Mr. Nontakan plans to expand the international leadership network by developing the "BKM-ITEC Global School Alliance." This initiative aims to foster collaboration between schools in Thailand and partner countries, such as India and others across Asia. The project will facilitate teacher and student exchanges, cultural programs, and the establishment of Memorandums of Understanding (MOU) between educational institutions.

This project is expected to significantly enhance the potential of both teachers and students, improving English proficiency, fostering a global mindset, and elevating the image of Thai basic education on the world stage.
