Ban Khlong Manao School Conducts Online Cultural and Language Exchange Program with Japan to Foster Global Citizenship

On June 4, 2026, Mr. Wichai Nonthakarn, Director of Ban Khlong Manao School, together with teachers and students, organized an Online Cultural and Language Exchange Program with Fujimidai Elementary School, Tokyo, Japan, under the support of the Tokyo International Exchange Concierge Office (TIEC) via Zoom.

The program aimed to enhance students’ English communication skills, promote intercultural understanding, and strengthen international friendships. During the exchange, Ban Khlong Manao School students proudly showcased Thai culture through traditional Thai costumes, presentations on local foods, and demonstrations of Thai customs and traditions. Their performances and presentations greatly impressed both the Japanese teachers and students.

In addition, students from both countries participated in one-on-one conversations, allowing them to practice English communication while exchanging ideas about their daily lives, school experiences, food, and cultural traditions. The activity was filled with smiles, enthusiasm, and a warm atmosphere of international friendship.

This exchange program represents another significant step in Ban Khlong Manao School’s commitment to promoting Active Learning and providing students with authentic international learning experiences. Through such opportunities, students are encouraged to develop the knowledge, skills, and intercultural awareness necessary to become responsible Global Citizens in an increasingly interconnected world.
