Ban Khlong Manao School Organizes Thai–Japanese Online Cultural Exchange Program

On June 5, 2026, Ban Khlong Manao School, under the Sakaeo Primary Educational Service Area Office 2, led by Mr. Wichai Nonthakarn, School Director, together with teachers and students, organized a Thai–Japanese Online Cultural Exchange Program in collaboration with Fujimidai Elementary School, Japan. The program was supported and coordinated by the Tokyo International Exchange Concierge Office (TIEC), Japan.

The activity aimed to enhance students’ English communication skills, intercultural understanding, and international friendship. Students from both countries shared information about their daily lives, traditions, cultures, and local foods through interactive online discussions.

During the program, Thai students introduced local ingredients such as papaya, chili, lime, long beans, garlic, fish sauce, and palm sugar, while demonstrating how to prepare Som Tam (Thai Papaya Salad), one of Thailand’s most famous traditional dishes. Japanese students also presented aspects of Japanese culture, traditions, and daily life, creating a meaningful and enjoyable learning experience for all participants.

This program reflects Ban Khlong Manao School’s commitment to international education and global learning. It provided students with valuable opportunities to communicate across cultures, develop essential 21st-century skills, and build mutual understanding and respect among young people from Thailand and Japan.
