Ban Khlong Manao School Strengthens Thai–Japanese Educational Relations Through Online Cultural Exchange Program

On July 14, 2026, Ban Khlong Manao School, led by Mr. Wichai Nontakan, School Director, organized an online cultural exchange activity with Takayama Elementary School, Japan. This marks the third consecutive year of collaboration aimed at enhancing students’ English language skills and promoting intercultural learning.

The activity was a continuation of the Penpal Project, which provides students from both countries with opportunities to build friendships, exchange experiences, learn about each other’s lifestyles and cultures, and participate in cultural performances. The program created a memorable and enjoyable learning experience for both Thai and Japanese teachers and students.

The project received support from Ms. Mami Tokumaru of the Tokyo International Exchange Concierge Office (TIEC), who facilitated cooperation between the two schools. Ban Khlong Manao School greatly appreciates this valuable partnership and remains committed to developing students into global citizens of the 21st century through international learning experiences.

2026年7月14日 – バーンクロンマナーウ学校（校長：ウィチャイ・ノンタカーン）は、日本の高山小学校とのオンライン文化交流活動を3回目として実施しました。本校は、国際的な教育の推進を掲げ、児童の英語力向上と異文化への理解を深めることを目的としています。

今回の活動は、長年続く「ペンパル（文通）プロジェクト」の発展版として企画されました。両校の児童たちはオンラインを通じて、互いの生活習慣や文化について語り合い、親睦を深めました。特に、バーンクロンマナーウ学校の児童によるタイの伝統舞踊「ラム・バーイシー・スークワン（魂を呼び戻す儀式の踊り）」が披露されると、日本の教職員や児童たちから大きな感動と称賛の声が寄せられました。

この貴重な交流プロジェクトは、東京インターナショナル・エクスチェンジ・コンシェルジュ（TIEC）の徳丸真美氏による多大なるご協力とコーディネートのおかげで実現いたしました。今回の取り組みは、国際的な学びを通じて21世紀の「グローバル市民」を育成するという、バーンクロンマナーウ学校の強い決意とビジョンを改めて象徴するものとなりました。
